What we do..
Classes
Wednesdays @ KCC 6th Form.
6-7pm: Age 8-11
7-8.30pm: Age 12+
Our welcoming and friendly sessions are rooted in high-quality drama education, but they’re also playful and thoughtful. We celebrate the unique spark in every child and take an individualised approach to teaching and understanding that every voice matters, and every young person learns differently.
-
We draw on our own experience as directors, writers and performers, as well extensive experience of working with young people and having our own young families, to create learning environments that are fun, supportive, and energising.
We ensure there’s something for everyone, whether your child is preparing for a LAMDA exam, taking part in a full-scale production, or joining a class or workshop for the first time. With links to local theatres, arts networks and national drama training routes, we also support students who want to take their journey further from developing their own devised work to applying to drama school.
LAMDA with Galore
We train children in LAMDA from eight years upwards. We coach in Acting, Devising, Verse & Prose, and Public Speaking as well as confidence-building workshops. Even if our students are not sure about developing a hobby or a career in acting, these sessions prepare young people for life beyond the stage.
-
They help develop life skills, confidence, clarity and intention in speaking, projecting and movement. Grades go from beginner to advanced through a series of grades - we will assess each student to determine where on the scale they will start. The final three LAMDA grades also carry UCAS points to support college and university applications in the future.

About Us
Galore is where creativity, courage and community come together. We’re here to help you find your voice and tell your story. Founded by theatre-makers and educators Jody and Hannah, Galore Theatre Company is a not-for-profit organisation rooted in a shared passion for performance, storytelling and empowering the next generation. We believe in the transformative power of drama not just as an art form, but as a tool for life.
-
Based in Kingsbridge in South Devon, we offer fun, inclusive and dynamic drama training to young people aged 7–18, with a strong focus on building confidence and skills that go far beyond the stage.
We run weekly classes and put on two performances per year for each group.
We understand that not every young person who steps into a drama studio is aiming for a future in acting and that’s exactly the point: drama, in our view, is far more than a pathway to the arts; it’s a training ground for life.
Through our workshops, classes and performance opportunities, we help young people develop confidence, communication skills, creative thinking, resilience, empathy and adaptability — all skills they will take with them, whether it’s to interviews, to lecture halls, to opening nights, to boardrooms, social events, to wherever your story leads.
We are committed to accessibility, integrity, and imagination. As a not-for-profit organisation, all our income goes back into supporting the work we do, expanding our programmes, offering subsidised places, and keeping drama opportunities open to everyone, regardless of background or circumstance.
